I stilll have my Dads tickets.
The 3 group games got crowds of 50,000 or so.
After they switched the semi final , quite a few disgruntled supporters jibbed the semi. They expected to be watching England.
The crowd for the semi West Germany v Russia was less than 40,000

My older Brother went to see Pele who got kicked off the pitch v Hungary ......crocked for the rest of the competition....

Saw all the group games at Goodison that summer , Ferenc Bene, Coluna and Tores were another 3 great players at Goodison in the group stages. Jesus I've seen some great players at Goodison over the years.
