For a long time I have considering the fact we have had a lack of truely world class players at Everton. Only Kanchelskis and teenage Rooney meet that criteria in the modern day. However we have had an abundance of good players that were well past their best while gracing the everton shirt...

He was never that good and was with us at 24-25 - theoretically he was at his peak, then he absolutely fell off anyway.

If he had a better attitude he could've been a fantastic player, but it wasn't to be.

He was 24, he was playing as good as he ever would.

Digne came from Barcelona to Everton but wouldn’t say we got him past his best.
