He's had a weird arc from underrated, it took people two years too long to admit he was genuinely great, to about a year of properly rated and now he is certainly overrated as the last 18 months have been pretty rough.

But when you do watch him he’s a genuinely brilliant target man who can hold the ball up, link up play and dribble with the ball as well as any striker in world football. Mourinho’s stale, dated style does him no favours as the nearest player to him a lot of the time is 40 yards away.

Feel like he's been a different player since cry arsing about not getting decisions. He was getting so many bad tackles not given, but no excuse.

Don't suppose it helps when he's probably the only grain of attacking in the whole Palace squad. Hodgson makes Moyes and his 6-4-0 formation look Gung Ho.
