Our corners

It was mad we didn’t try anything different. And when they won the ball pretty much every time, we had no one for the knockdown, as the lads outside the box were too far out to get it and everyone else was on the goal line. It’s an odd tactic. I reckon we were better than them in the air, but instead of playing against outfield players, we were competing with their keeper.

We are one of the worst in the league at being productive from set pieces - even away from tonight, we’ve been poor at the this season.

We have players who can finish them and big players with presence.

If I’m being honest I don’t think we have good crossers of the ball at the club.

Think the tactic was to block the keeper from the ball yet the keeper punched about 75% of the balls away. Didn't work
I think because they train with Jordan Pickford, our players must think all goalkeepers flap helplessly and panic when a corner is dropped on top of them. The penny didn’t seem to drop after trying the same thing about 10 times and it not working, more inspirational tactics.

It's not about the crossing, it's about the tactical setup in the box.
We should be moving towards the ball, not waiting for it to land whilst in a standing position.

Until the Reffs start awarding red cards and penalties - fat chance - nothing will change

If they did, we all know who would all of a sudden end up with 8 men - Soft Touch FC that play in blue.
They should make a rule as above & that will stop it's like all in wrestling shirt pulling etc before any corner taken - eventually it would stop -
Also on penalties it has to be a continuous run up the ball & a kick at goal or it's cancelled as a goal
The John Aldridge era has returned after it was banned...
