OSMAN IN THE ENGLAND SQUAD

Surprised with this, his form and performances have been greater in seasons gone by as opposed to this one.

He was class in the second half of both the last two seasons. I remember that game against City where he scored that absolute belter of a header.

Suprised at the amount of people think he has been poor this season.

Fellaini aside, I think he has been one of our best players.

This reminds me of the **** Arteta got, for doing the same job in the middle. Some people dont appreciate what that postions is for.

Can't agree with those saying he's on the decline or has been better in previous seasons. I can never remember him having as many games in the centre before and he's always been a bit hit and miss out wide. Think he's doing a great job in the centre for us and has been a bit of an unsung hero this year.

It's overdue but better late than never. The RS fans giving it all that are obviously just bitter, as they wasted £70m on utter sh*te which struggle to get in to the fringes.

Having said that, Shelvey does look good even though he resembles a medical experiment gone horribly wrong, he's infinitely better than Henderson.

Oh and Osman most certainly ISN'T on the decline, not yet any way.

Good for him. On his day a complete game changer. No frills attached or media darling but always had good foot skills butunfotunately not a strong shot.

Thrilled to bits to see him get a nod.

Would have been more exotic if he got a call up for Turkey, he'd probably get more chances to play too. Still happy he's finally got some international recognition, though.

How unexpected.

Nice on Ossie. Long overdue and probably a consequence of the increased media attention we've been receiving, because let's be honest he's played a lot better than he has this season before.

This.

He's done magnificently, especially considering he's played alongside side Phil Neville. He has done a box-to-box job in recent games.

I think people feel he's played poorly when in reality he's having to do the job of two men in midfield. I've been very impressed with him.

If you take the circumstances into account then yes he's done very well.

But individually the spells like the other year when Cahill was out and he played behind the striker, well he was at his best then. I don't really think he's a CM but he's adapted to it and grown into the role, and yeah, alongside someone like Neville -- the antithesis of mobility -- then it is a bloody tough job.

Maybe he's in there because he's now playing the deeper role, where England have been very thin with Parker and Wilshere out? Hopefully he actually gets on and wins a cap. Now we just need to get Hibbo in the squad!
