Shockingly lenient for murdering a defenseless woman. South African law is to blame although I am sure the judge could've been harsher if she wanted. Five years is a token gesture knowing full well he'll be tucked up in "hospital" a year then at free, hardly a punishment. Does that set a precedent now? You want somebody dead you wait until they're in the bathroom shoot them dead and make up some ridiculous story about an intruder... your punishment because the courts want to bestow "mercy" upon your murdering soul in less than 18 months inside? That'd be worth it for a lot of people.
