Would anyone know if we used to have a version of this Tranmere song at all?

A little bit of heaven fell down from the sky one day
And it nestled by the Mersey in a spot not far away
And when the angels found it, after looking all around
They said 'Why don't we leave it there as Tranmere Rovers' ground'

They sprinkled it with stardust to make the grass seeds grow
It's the finest turf in England, no matter where you go
Then they put in lots of floodlights for when the nights are dark
And when they had it finished They Called It Prenton Park

Thanks

Never to my knowledge. What era is that from?

I'd be interested to know if we done the other Tranmere song: One night in gay Paris, I paid 5 francs to see, a sweet mon Cherie tattooed from head to knee.
