...I put an (post-1960) analysis up some time ago based on goals per appearance ratio and surprisingly (to me) Vernon came out top. I was fortunate enough to see him, but I was too young to recognise just how prolific he was.
He and the GV were my childhood hero's, when I was in my teens Bally happened, he's still my hero today.
