My older brother was there the tackle on Temple was disgusting- GBH - put him nearly over the goodind road side one wall into the crowd - it then kicked off - bad style - Sandy had been sent off in the first few minutes after being studded down his chest he decked Giles with a good right hook .....
A blood bath followed in a 1-0 defeat .....

We'd recently had two very hard cup games with them which we edged after, shall we say, a very hard fought replay, in which iirc, Gabriel had a stormer at Centre Forward.
The 0-1 win proved to Revie that his plan, born from fear, was working and to keep on with it...which was a pity, they could play a bit too.
Cloughie told them from day one that they were a gang of cheats.
