Went to a meet the players several years back Gordon was one of the x players at the meet
He commented on the reason why he never went to Mexico and it was not for the reason
Stated above . He was a very likeable guy also telling us how much he missed his best friend labby

his wife stopped him going as she earned more than him as a professional pianist - H e divorced her years later & joked I might as well have gone to Mexico - he was the No 2 keeper .....
