Jimmy Husband a flying forward winger who was very fast & direct scored many a goal for us - The Catt stated over 6 yards he was the fastest - he had seen to skip past a defender hence his nickname Skippy - he at his peak was unplayable & defenders just kicked bits out of him eventually curtailing his promising career - no protection back then - I witnessed on tackle by the veteran Dave Mackay Jimmy was through on goal & Mackay took him out with a two footed tackle waist high - uproar emerged jimmy sadly stretchered off - Dave McKay was not even booked in a home league cup game v Derby County then in a division below - we lost the replay 1-0- after a 0-0 draw at Goodison where we did everything but score - Jimmy was through & would have scored -
