Robert ‘Bunny’ Bell. He scored 9 goals in a match for Tranmere Rovers and later served as a back-up to Dixie Dean and Tommy Lawton at Everton - bottom photo was Bunny signing for cover in 1936 he never reached Dixies heights, but did very well at Tranmere Rovers - he could not just get a break with the Blues .....A great Character & is in the Tranmere Rovers Hall of fame -

28th August 1965 NOT A GOAL, but still an important piece of Everton history. John Hurst becomes the first Everton substitute when he replaces the injured Fred Pickering with eight minutes remaining in the away game at Stoke. The final touch of the game came as John Hurst headed a corner into the net, only for the referee to rule that he had blown the final whistle before the ball crossed the line -
