Anyone fancy digging out their programmes from the late 50s? I'm trying to remember the name of the 15 year old lad who played for us in the Liverpool Senior (or maybe Floodlit) Cup at Anfield. That would make him the youngest ever player to represent the first team (though this wasn't a first class match). I think he was Irish or Scottish and maybe his name was something like Andy Parr.. Apparently he didn't settle - was homesick - and that was it.

Barnard it is...always was.

My gut reaction on that photo was if you check back as I posted it was Mike Bernard just his stature and his hair etc others have a valid point it could have been some other player even Joe Harper but I will stick to my gut reaction!

....brilliant, thanks for that. I see (like me) he lived in West Derby and interestingly played as a 'guest' for Everton during the war. Obviously a very talented footballer and a fascinating life.
