It has all the elements of a Souness sh*thouse trick (stealing it) but i think it might be Ray Kennedy, as there's a photo a couple of seconds later where Latchford seems to be going for him (and in that pic, it looks like Bob's steaming over to get involved).

Looks like the 2-2 match from October 79 (the one with the Mick Lyons og and the streaker). Probably Terry McDermott as he was sent off along with Garry Stanley.

Mariners stun the Toffees

October 79, Grimsby. "You only sing when you're fishing". It was half term so we went on the special on a Tuesday night. Got home about 2 or 3 in the morning. Brian Kidd put us ahead but Mike Brolly replied twice shortly after - one due to a poor error from George Wood who was beaten at the near post.

It’s not McDermott mate, as he can be seen in the photo (he must have got involved moments later, hence the red card for him and Gary “Conditioner” Stanley). It’s Souness or Kennedy, I’d say- judjing by the next series of photos, as they joined in the melee.
