RIP Terry Darracott. Thought it appropriate to say that on this old photos thread. If only some of our present day more skilful "footballers" would show the same effort.....passion and will to win that Terry Darracott showed. We would be ok. He would put most of our useless [Poor language removed] footed wasters to shame.
Only saw Mr. Darracott play a few times. A few league matches when I started to travel over to matches. And against Finn Harps . He was solid enough. Then our better players stepped up and won us those matches. But it was always a team effort. Of which TD was very much a part off.
Most teams had a Terry Darracott type player back then. Remember our very own Sandy Brown.
RIP......Mr.Darracott......was just as big a part of my youth as the trinity and Bob Latchford were. Up The Toffees.

First time I saw him was a pre season friendly at Goodison. His first season as a first teamer was in front of him. His (then) flowing locks as he ran forward earned him a sarcastic nickname of Gunther, after the German midfielder Netzer
