....David and I played lots of representative schoolboy and youth football together. Needless to say, he didn’t even reach half my 25 goals in 19 competition games the season we played for Liverpool Schoolboys U15 but he went onto a career in the game. Nice memories, though.

reading Tommy Lawton Biography atm - he stated they got called fit to burn by not serving on the front lines , and playing in mixed war teams in the War years being called up as PE teachers etc....

Without getting into the whole Lawson / Bernard Mk I. thing we had going a few years(?) ago. The jumper has facial elements of a West nearing the end of his career.

I thought it looked more like Westy than Tommy, although my jury is still out if it's either of them at the moment.

yep it is a very young Bob paisley Busby played for the other lot as a defender too.........

....yep,he lost his wife in recent years. Our fathers travelled to away games together, he’s ok is David.

A game as a 12 year old stood on the Kop watching the Anfield road end full of Blues chant Champions all through the 2nd half at the pit and 5,000 blues fans in the Kop - will be in my memories forever we played them off the park that day -
