In my lifetime that was quite probably the worst away following that night,I'm sure there were no more than fifteen County fans in the Old Park End,I know as I counted them

Everton playing at home in our away kit , anyone know why , can only guess Colchester decided to forfit their home game to play at Goodison ?

Think I recall that the rule in those days was a colour clash in the cup meant that both sides changed to their second strip. A few years earlier we'd played Coventry at home in the cup and we were in white shirts black shorts.
Memory may be playing tricks. But that was a good entertaining game which I watched from the GSE
