...I was in the paddock for that game, Joey, and if I remember rightly Gary Jones knocked the bloke out who did it.

I was right in front of it in the paddock too with family Evertonians - the noise made us wince - we clapped altrincham on the field for the achievement of achieving their FA cup run to Goodison .... Their goal was well offside - Connerly was the dangerman that day so they ruined his career, as he was never the same after horrific that injury and a late pen saved us ...... the paddock lunged forwards to let the player know what he had done......disgusting tackle he meant it ......
