23 November 1966 Sandy Brown fires home the only goal of the game as Everton beat Real Zaragoza in the home tie of the European Cup Winners Cup -

At 2-0 down from the first leg we were struggling to score, tbh, they were a bit too technical and worldly wise for us
iirc, Sandy took a pen, hit the post...boo
Put the rebound in...hooray
Reff, correctly, disallowed it as he touched the ball twice...boo.
It took us all a bit to work out why it was disallowed

If the keeper had got even a finger to it - goal...and who knows
