The picture of him celebrating a couple of seconds later is utterly brilliant. Made me want to cry he gave everything for the cause and played like the fan he was. What a contrast to the modern pro....... Sigh.

Players hated getting beat in those days whereas it just doesn't hurt enough these days not with the mighty wedge awaiting them win or lose. Maybe the win/lose bonus system gave the players something to aim for.
