"The first ship sunk by a torpedo since WW2" according to the Fox News Secretary of War... that would be apart from the General Belgrano in 1982 during the Falklands War (not that this is anything to brag about, either). It was a us sub that's torpedoed the iran ship. 140 lost at the moment.
There's another. And technically, the last ship torpedoed in 1945 was actually after the surrender had been signed."The first ship sunk by a torpedo since WW2" according to the Fox News Secretary of War... that would be apart from the General Belgrano in 1982 during the Falklands War (not that this is anything to brag about, either).
Yeah, but just imagine how those antiques have gained in value in the meantime? The TV licence is worth every penny and I won't hear otherwise!
I've just put the telly on to see what's happening in the world and I'm confronted with the last channel I was watching (BBC2) and there's an episode of Antiques Roadshow from 2000, with Michael Aspel as the host!
I could turn over to BBC1 and watch Roman Kemp and Sally Greene hosting a 'quiz' show (wtf!) but I think I'll go and make something to eat, instead.
