Call me cynical but I think this is part of Jose's masterplan.......

1. pushes the idea of Rooney to Everton to get both parties a little more excited
2. Everton either sell Felli to Chelsea so as to afford Rooney or swap him direct at United
3. Either way - United are weaker or Chelsea end up with Felli

Rooney has enough money banked to buy a small country. And if he leaves Man U he will go to a club that means he can carry on banking money so he can buy a bigger country. Everton is nowhere in that equation. If he ever comes back to us, he will be so past it that Kai will be playing in our U21 team. He'll become a superstar and will be sold to Man U for gazillions, none of which will be passed on by Bill to RM, who will be starting his 15th year as our manager.

I think some people may end up a little surprised.

Mate if Rooney comes back to us while he is still a decent mobile worthwhile player (i.e. not zimmer frame jobs like Gascoigne and Ginola), you could knock me over with a feather. If he did that, he should register as a charity and apply to the Vatican for nomination for sainthood.

I just cannot see it in a million years, not while he is in his peak playing and earning years.

I recken the only way for this to happen is for Rooney to say he not happy at Man and does not want to work with Moyes, and give to us on loan for 12 months, they wont want him going to their rivals. But only Rooney can do this plus his agent wouldn't allow this as he would lose out on another payday.
