Saw Bath win there a few years ago. Beautiful setting but (at the time) very dilapidated. Sam Merson (Pauls lad played for them. Now at Hanworth Villa (Isthmian South Central). Ridiculous money I agree. One of my favourite non league grounds today. St Alban's Clarence park. 18 quid to get in and 6 quid a pint far too much for step 3 though.
Been done up a bit. Terracing in better condition than Wellings. That's not saying much though.Saw Bath win there a few years ago. Beautiful setting but (at the time) very dilapidated. Sam Merson (Pauls lad played for them. Now at Hanworth Villa (Isthmian South Central). Ridiculous money I agree.
It was all a bit Corinthian Casuals when I went. Stewards going around the stand opposite the club house randomly saying to people leaning on a post “ You can’t stand there mate!”Been done up a bit. Terracing in better condition than Wellings. That's not saying much though.
I went this year, took the opportunity to tick it off the night before we played Brentford. Decent conditions as you say and craft beer available in each corner which is why I couldn’t tell you who won ! and once I’d decided to get fried chicken and chips for my tea the food truck owner was a kopite !!!! . I’m going to Torquay Utd on Tuesday night as it’s convenient with my post-retirement doing the 92 visit to Exeter City on Thursday, so if either of you @Alan Whittle know of a game on Wednesday……One of my favourite non league grounds today.
