Non League Football

Thornton Cleveleys v top of the league Droylesdon today in the NWCL Div North.

Thought it would be off, 4 games in the league been cancelled already, but 11am inspection has given the green light.

This wind should make it interesting 🤨

3-3 v Droylesdon on Saturday.

3-1 up with 15 minutes left as well. They got a flukey wind assisted goal then a 94th minute equaliser.

Still, a decent point v the top of the league.

Ventured to Macclesfield on Saturday.

What a lovely, lovely bunch of fans the Macclesfield fans are. Nothing off at away fans partners, at full time, when they had small children then their small "firm" of pre-adolescent whoppers waiting outside for a scrap.

Nevertheless Macclesfield 0-1 Marine, 134 away fans in treacherous weather conditions and a lovely open end 😂 first win in league for 5 games and up to 13th.

Cagey game, Macclesfield rightly having man sent off after 20 mins.

Seems big pressure on John Rooney, although, Macclesfield fans seem very entitled. The NLN is a very competitive league.

About 10 or so miles north of Blackpool and about 10 or so miles north of Preston.

Bought my car in Garstang which is about as much as I know about it.
@summerisle what he said 👆😊

I actually forgot it was a cup match.

Thornton won 3-2 after being behind twice and got a winner in the last 5 minutes, proper cup tie.

I enjoy watching non league now way more than PL footy.
