Ninth eh? Guess why! Because we're 9-1-0 at home against the bottom 13 (Leicester downwards).

So let's look at some seriously damning performance stats..

Here's a different League table amongst the also rans (Leicester, 43 points, and below) that shows how lacking we are:

The Tough 26 Game Challenge:

Every away game (19) and 7 at home against the Top Six plus Burnley who have excelled so are worthy of being called a tough game..

Leicester City 27
Newcastle United 24
Watford 22
Crystal Palace 21
Swansea City 21
Bournemouth 18
Huddersfield Town 16
West Ham United 16
Brighton & Hove Albion 15
Stoke City 15
Everton 14
Southampton 14
West Bromwich Albion 11

..fortunately.
And it will continue to be crap.you have the Sky 6 and then the rest.
To a lot of clubs , Stoke , Swansea , WBA , Brighton Etc staying in the PL is success , so they don’t take risks , don’t try and play expansive football and gamble on risky signings.
Proven PL quality or cheap foreign imports is the way for many

Maybe, but it also suggests that if our home form took just a slight downturn, we'd be fighting relegation sometime soon if the current management team is left in place.

Well there are a lot of 'ifs' in football. It could mean 'if' you get a new guy in, with no real PL experience, your form could also take a downturn and you'll be fighting off relegation.

Or 'if' you keep the current management, the continuity might help, and you could be breaking into the top 6 next season.

Really though, the table that matters most is the de facto Premier League table. Not these cherry picked tables.

This is the sort of thing I used to do when I worked in an office. I once plotted a graph comparing evertons performance between before and after we got together. We had improved massively when we met and finished 4th. She thought it was sweet in hindsight it was a bit weird
