Niko Kovač managerial candidate

Wouldn't be against it at all.

Whilst I do think we need a bit of a shake-up at this point and look to younger up-and-coming managers with fresh ideas, he's certainly the candidate with the most balanced of the key attributes needed for top level management.

Also I'm fairly certain that he was one of the candidates that we made an approach for when Silva was sacked.
 

I mean, he's Croatian so he is probably au fait with genocide. :blush:

I would be more than happy with him. His Frankfurt work is pretty impressive and pretty relevant for a club in our current position. But I really doubt he is being seriously considered to take over.
 

Seems like an ideal candidate for the management role, so no doubt he'll be dismissed out of hand because he doesn't fit the bill for the romantic, dreaming head that resides in our board room. The one that wants Bobby back, or would appoint Bob Latchford or Mick Lyons to bring back the nostalgia of riding on uncle Cyrils bike's handle bars down county road and seeing Goodison rising out of the mist of woodbine smoke on a match day.
