Very good showing in attack, but Salford were so weak going forward that I'm not sure we got any idea of what he can do at the back!

Niels Nkounkou looks a very talented, energetic, and positive player. The lad was full of confidence and just appears to slot in like he'd been with the squad for years. Brilliant bit of work by Marcel Brands to bring him here.

What really impressed me about Niels was his ability to charge forward and link play with ease while kenny seemed apprehensive about bombing down the field with alot of back passing. Niels in his first competitive appearance looked more a finished product then a player who spent a season in the German league so it's still an early dawn but he looks truly promising.
