Sorry, possibly my meaning wasn't clear. Of course they want the #1 seed, and rightly so.

At the time of posting, the Chiefs were 27 - 0 up against the worst team in their division - also the second-worst team in the AFC and one of only three teams to already be eliminated from the playoffs.

With 3 minutes left in the first half and winning 27-0, any team that genuinely rates itself as a contender for the Superbowl should, against an opponent tanking for draft picks, be able to send several backups on to the field and still win comfortably. Credit to the Broncos for mounting a comeback, but still...

There's a lot to unpick about how / why the Chiefs very nearly lost that game.

this isnt Man City vs Wolves - the NFL has a lot more parity than that.

With the greatest of respect Kev, you have a track record for being completely and utterly biased when it comes to the Chiefs. You've been going on forever about how you have the greatest team in history.

Most of it was down to a bit of complacency for me. Mahomes starting making bad throws that led to turnovers and Denver scored off the short fields.

It was a strange game. It was essentially over by the early 2nd quarter, and Denver looked disinterested. Then Mahomes makes a bad pass, Jeudy got ticked off about something and all of a sudden Denver had a pulse. Once KC realized the game wasn't over, it was tough to turn it back on against a defense that cared again.

It should be a lesson that you never, never take your foot off the gas in an NFL game

I think if the 49ers wanna do something this season they gotta work on their transition from first downs to third downs, its very sloppy, really push the zone 18 space and put pressure on the backjacks in the wide areas.
