Mate, I'm a Cincinnati fan. Have been since the late 80's. Our current OL is starting to look ok at run blocking, but the pass protection is really bad, as you rightly pointed out.

I have no doubt that Burrow is elite - he proves it most weeks. It's just that the OL is WAY below the standard necessary, and eventually it will catch us out.

Honestly thought the Chiefs had it in the bag when I wrote that post - all they had to do was keep running the ball. Mad that they chose to keep passing and that Mahomes blew it again. It's like he doesn't learn from his previous mistakes.

Cincy's best chance is this year or next. Only important UFA I know of is Perine and they would be crazy to not give him 2y/8M. Burrow's contract comes due in 2024 (say 48-55M/year take Lamar's next contract add say 10-15%) then you start shedding pieces.

Jimmy Garoppolo has a broken foot and will miss the rest of the season. Big blow for the 9ers. Even though Purdy did well today, it’s tough to see how they can go the distance now despite the many weapons they possess.

Its an easy place to play QB. There is a path to the SB w/ the 3 seed (commies, Seahawks, Giants), then Vikings, Dallas/Philly are beatable. IDK they can handle the AFC winner tho.
