NFL 2022 Season

I said on Friday morning it was all ifs and buts for the Bills to take top stop on Sunday evening, it somehow came off!!!

Need the Chiefs to maybe lose another one as it’ll also be tough for the Bills to go to Cincy in week 17.

Just noticed the Dolphins have a 3 game road trip including the game today. Never seen that before.

Jimmy Garoppolo has a broken foot and will miss the rest of the season. Big blow for the 9ers. Even though Purdy did well today, it’s tough to see how they can go the distance now despite the many weapons they possess.

It's the Niners and the Chiefs. That's your Superbowl, let's stop pretending it isn't

Devastating news for them...and I don't mind it at all.

This NFL season is really weird. Somehow Geno Smith is a top tier QB.

Thought Geno looked pretty good last year but wasn't expecting this.

After weathering the october death march of SB contenders in his 1st starts, Pickett is looking like a keeper. Maybe taking the training wheels off and letting Pickett use the middle of the field is opening up the running game too as all 3 RBs have looked good the past couple weeks. That 2nd round pick for Claypool from Chicago looks better and better every week.

Think Chiefs need the 1 seed to go to the SB. Mahomes may be better than last year, dunno, but his supporting cast sure isn't. They could beat Cincy or Buffalo but I don't think they can beat both.

Maybe they start running the ball more, make McCaffrey a bigger part of the offense? 49ers have a good OL so a decent chance of running a ball control scheme.

They're unlikely to ever get caught up in a shootout because the D is very good, so controlling the clock and time of possession might be the way to go. Purdy looks like a guy who can do the basics well, so just ask him to stick to that, and lean on the D to win games?

Agree re Pickett. Pittsburgh will be back in playoff contention next year unless they massively fail FA (not likely) and/or have a disastrous draft (even more not likely).

Chiefs remaining schedule is ranked 31st out of 32 for difficulty - meaning only one team has an easier set of remaining fixtures. They will get the #1 seed in the AFC while Buffalo, Miami, Baltimore and Cincinnati continue to wear themselves down against each other.

That looks like some implosion by the Colts in the fourth quarter. I didn't see it and have just read the stats, but they turned the ball over 4 times and conceded 33 points in the 4th - Am I reading that right?

Chiefs D is incredible. They've closed all the running lanes that were open in the first half. Add in the stupid play call at the end of the first half and Boyd's drop a few minutes ago - game over for Cincinnati.
That aged well.
Burrow is special. He's a more likeable version of a young Tom Brady. His line is not good enough but he takes the punishment (34 sacks already) without complaining and still produces game winning drives. Mahomes & Brady (19 & 17 sacks) are far more comfortable.

Mate, I'm a Cincinnati fan. Have been since the late 80's. Our current OL is starting to look ok at run blocking, but the pass protection is really bad, as you rightly pointed out.

I have no doubt that Burrow is elite - he proves it most weeks. It's just that the OL is WAY below the standard necessary, and eventually it will catch us out.

Honestly thought the Chiefs had it in the bag when I wrote that post - all they had to do was keep running the ball. Mad that they chose to keep passing and that Mahomes blew it again. It's like he doesn't learn from his previous mistakes.

Joe Burrow has Mahomes number.

He owns his soul now.

Yep. Upon closer inspection, Chiefs haven't beaten many good teams this year and have lost close games to teams they will likely encounter in the playoffs. That is very worrying for them, they really need that top seed imo. Still probably my narrow favourite to win the AFC, I don't trust the Bills at all
