But to suggest we wouldn't have the money is a bit ignorant

forgetting the new TV deal, our owner is worth over £3bn. Just we dont go down the route of throwing cash around. FFP etc

I think you misinterpreted the point i was trying to make.

The likes of chelsea, city et al have the resources to waste money. The rest don't.

I see putting a manager on gardening leave as a waste of money.

Any it's not going to come to that. This is little more than a negotiating/PR tool. If real at all.

maybe Saints have changed their minds. Could be that if you value him at £7m a year. we now want that for his final year etc
