What a Southampton lad said last night on here about Koeman:

"He's a very good manager, quite clearly shown by the continued rise we've had under him. His lack of faith in our academy players has annoyed quite a few here and some of his Eredivisie transfers have been questionable to say the least. However, they are the only two negatives I can think of during his stint."

Thing about that is though mate, i think too mamny supporters of clubs like Saints or in the past West Ham think that their youth system will be a none stop conveyor belt of the same quality youngsters coming through year in year out, from years follwoing this game, most clubs have a 'golden' period that sees them produce a lot of players in a 5-6 years period which eventually dries up and another team comes to the fore with a new wave of great young players, United being the obvious example in the early 90's, west ha,m had a great period a little later, we supposedly are on the verge of it right now adn are seeign the first signs at the end of the season about those young lads breaking through.

Maybe right now the Saints academy just isn't producing players of the quality of Shaw, Chamberlain, Walcott, Chambers etc

I imagine in principle it may well be, but there's still the Ts to cross and the Is to dot.

Anyone else notice how much a certain poster uses "I" so much in his posts? Smacks of it's all about me me me syndrome, bet he was fun to play footie with as a kid, losing at any point he'd tuck his ball under his arm and storm off sulking, or may be that isn't a tactic that's allowed on FIFA manager 2016!

Tbh, Bacca has been a bit poor at Milan. Still scored 16 though, but no where near the level he was at Sevilla.

Wrong team. Before that was fantastic in previous clubs

Not saying he would come in and be world class, obviously would be a risky appointment but who isn't? Who would have thought pelle would be a better signing than osvaldo? Or a rank average youth player in kane would massively outperform soldado?

Just logically if we aren't signing a top striker, then the two obvious choices are bony and someone like bakka. And I would prefer a bakka as he is a proven scorer whereas bony has struggled at City.

But what do I know lol

he said emery would be signed before the end of the week before he said all of a sudden koeman was going to sign. so no, he dont know sh.
