Had a grumpy old man moment yesterday and wrote a stiff letter to Newsnow, complaining that I was fed up seeing Laura Wotserface's trashy attempts to join the Z-list for talentless celebrities appearing on the Everton feed.
I wrote more in hope than expectation as those stories seemed to be exactly the sort of vacuous clickbait on which Newsnow depends for its income, so I was pleasantly surprised to get the following reply:
"Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Following your feedback, we have made changes to our systems that should ensure that Laura Simpson stories no longer appear on the Everton feed.
We hope you continue to enjoy using NewsNow. Kind regards, Marius"
Not a big deal in the great scheme of things, but nice to know they actually listen to feedback. I think I will ask them to stop linking us with Benteke next.
