Surprised at that lineup. Thought he would freshen things up perhaps rest Rooney Gana and Calvert Lewin. Bench looks strong considering no Klassen, SANDRO, Bolasie or Barkley. Can't understand why he needs 2 Centre backs.

Makes sense to keep the same selection as the 2nd half of the derby. Defence was solid and if we are better in possession, then we should get some chances given the opposition isn't anywhere near as good as the last match. Happy with Niasse on the bench too. Tends to have more of an impact when he comes on as a sub. Gets amongst them and ruffles some feathers when they are more knackered and vulnerable etc.

I just want Niasse to get some playing time. If his role is being an impact sub, so be it. He deserves some playing time...he has more quality than most give him credit for.

My guess is he's gone Schneiderlin because of experience, Newcastle are desperate for a win and MS might be that bit calmer under pressure than Beni, who has been very good when he's played. Maybe Beni might be in the squad for Swansea on Monday at GP ?
