Hypothetical question...

It appears that the Dock site has a lot of obstacles, namely land purchase, logistics of prepping and building, as well as cost. With that in mind, would you choose:

(a) 50k seater stadium on Bramley Moore Dock (50k because of cost, but with scope to grow the capacity at an undetermined, not guaranteed future stage)?

(b) 60k seater stadium in Croxteth that generates more matchday revenue?

Dock without question, 5k less seats is nothing on the scale of things, location, is everything!!!

Unfortunately the extra 10k seats at SC would not generate extra income over the one at the docks because 1) the extra seats would lower the ticket prices for the whole stadium reducing the difference and 2) the corporate income would not be anywhere near the amount that could be generated when you have the prime location.

I'd rather have 50k sold seats at Bramley Moore than struggle to fill 40k in a 60k stadium in the middle of a Croxteth industrial estate.

Seriously, Kirkby would have been bad for the club but it would have been a 100 times better than Stonebridge Cross could ever be.

Sure, it's all commercially-driven, no problem with that. But the whole promotion of it focuses almost exclusively on that. It's just a bit sad really.

Last week was the press day for the launch of the premium seating packages which, unlike GA seating, are already on sale for the new stadium. So yes, the focus last week was exclusively on the higher end offerings, and deliberately so because the club is trying to sell them all a year in advance of the stadium opening.

That has got to be one of the least aesthetically appealing stadiums from the outside in world football. Interior looks good though mate

It's different and I could easily see it sat on the banks of the Mersey giving the industrial feel it has

Just to push things on a little....

Liverpool Sound City, a 2-Day festival, held in May each year, has announced its lineup for 2017...

The key change? It's now at Clarence Dock and not Bramley Moore.
