New Everton Stadium Discussion

Can someone tell me where it says 52000 capacity

What will the capacity of the new stadium be?
The final capacity remains subject to the designs being finalised and ongoing consultation with supporters and other stakeholders. Feasibility studies and surveys with fans have already taken place and the Club is working with industry experts to assess what the optimum capacity should be. So far, a final number has not been determined. There are a number of factors that need to be taken into consideration, such as planning, size, mass and the look and feel of a stadium on the Bramley-Moore Dock site.

It's called a project stalled. No progress, just more BS spin and consultation.

Time for people to get their heads out of the sand and realise this has gone the way of all Everton stadium schemes.

Why waste all our time with this "smoke and mirrors" though?1

Why would peel not say anything?
Why would LCC not say anything?
Why would Meis not say anything?

You said we don't want to do a Spurs.

Spurs are actually building a stadium, with delays but its getting done.

We are already at least 2 years behind from the original plans of last March.

Has the club ever officially announced a date they would be in the ground?

No, they’ve always been cautious in putting a timeframe on things because they know how complex the process is.

The only person shouting from the rooftops about being in there from 2021 is fat joe and that’s only so he can get the council involved.

They have to do a consultation.

It's a statutory part of the process.

Without it you can't submit an application for development consent.
Seem to remember 18 months of consultation already. We're in a state of permanent consultation. Round in circles killing time and pulling the wool over people's eyes.

Wake up lads. This lot are taking the piss.

Waited this long so what's a few more years. Does smack as a time delay exercise though. We are having a consultation yet they look foward to sharing the designs with us in the summer? Either they have put the cart before the horse or they are extending the timeframe for funding purposes.

A stadium that would be smaller than: Man Utd, Tottenham, Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, West Ham, Newcastle and Wolves.

Yeah, pretty humiliating.
Where's 52000 come from???.

It’s amazing that some fans are finding this as good news. I’m staggered.

Shows that some people will eat anything up.

Bill Kenwright has probably give hem tips of how to keep the happy-clappers in check whilst delivering nothing.

Things will never be the same again, though.

National papers.

How big do you think BMD is? At best it's gonna be 60k, if we wanted a huge stadium we could have taken stonebridge cross instead. Would rather have an iconic build and sacrifice 5k seats, than a massive three quarter fill stadium.
