New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Same with mine, I usually park on the east lancs and walk to goodison.
Gonna be a train and shuttle bus now.
Gonna miss my walk from cherry lane through the cemetery almost as much as Goodison mate.

The new parking zone has killed any idea I had of driving now, I will officially be a bus w@nker!

Happy Bramley Moore Day to Evertonians the world over

We've waited so long for this, all the years of heartache and ridicule, all the broken promises and false dawns, and now, today, we finally get that big shiny new home.

Onwards and upwards Blues 💙
Yeah and there was a part of me thought it would all get stopped halfway through when we were skint and getting points deducted.
How many of us were refreshing the sports news every day, millions of time a day just dreading the headlines that the stadium project has been suspended due to lack of funds. I know I was. Emotional now knowing it's here even though I haven't got a ticket for this or the next one. Can't wait for the first game next season though, will be amazing to walk up those stairs and finally see the pitch surrounded by the stands.

Is it open to the public to walk round outside?
Nope, they are checking tickets at the exterior gates/wall.

Everton way is still closed off apparently, I’ve gotta get to gate 8 for block 205 and I’m sure I have to walk past it?!

Think they are going to funnel us like cattle to specific areas/gates - based on Rotherham’s fan management program for Sandhills.

Ffs. Is this gonna be a normal thing?

Thanks. Plan to park in the city and depending on time walk or get a cab. Likewise back whatever.

No rain but it's going to be 2-3c so not exactly tropical

Hope it stays dry for you, I'm not going tonight but when I do I will probably use the train from Central to Sandhills. Got to make use of that 5 star fan plaza that Steve Rotherham has been promoting! :)

Finch Farm is still a very good training facility, however if you compare it with the likes of Leicester's, City's or even (sadly) the RS's, it does need some work.

They're checking at the gates, and importantly the entire plaza is not open even for those attending: they will funnel fans straight to their turnstiles.

Yeah I thought that, FF must be 20 years old now, has all the modern facilities but isn't on par with those you mentioned.

No reason it can't get an upgrade during the summer time though. It's not like Bellefield which was basically like an old school.

there will deffo be a way to sneak it if people really wanted to

people sneak into glastonbury all the time and the security there is like alcatraz
I hope no one even tries, it will be stressful enough for the stewards and there'll be safety officers there to give us the safety certificate we need. Anyone who tries to sneak in should get booted up and down the dock road.
