I'm going with my 3 (grown up) kids tonight. I told them yesterday that I wanted to get in as early as possible, to sample everything and hopefully to avoid any access teething problems/delays etc, but they weren't a bit keen at getting there any earlier than we do GP (tbf two of them are working till late afternoon in anycase). Not only did they make me fall down the tenure list, they're now trying to make me miss the first ever kick-off at BMD.

Thankfully, after some negotiation my youngest is off and she's agreed to try to get there reasonably early (and can help me with the digital ticket thingy). It's like the parents getting all excited to see their kids excited faces first thing on Christmas morning..... only to have to drag them out of bed near lunchtime haha.

Hoping to test both the Shuttle bus from town (before) and Sandhills (after) to see how they both work too.

Glad at least on of your nippers is listening to their elders! Still doesn’t feel real that we’re almost in our new home.

I’m driving into town to park, then jumping on the 919 tonight, try and get a feel of how that is.

For Saturday and Sunday games I’m thinking that the car will be jibbed altogether - bus from west derby into town then the shuttle bus.

The missus is gonna hate my new matchday routine…..

Don't think you'll have any problem with the buses but noticed that the frequency of trains from Sandhills reduces at about 7-30 / 8 p.m. For example going to Maghull it's 30 minute service rather than 15. This will have to be addressed when it's an increased or full capacity at BMD. Perhaps Merseyrail don't know about tonight's event

Don’t forget your waterproofs and be sure to make a list of any issues you find 😉
