Who would be paying for this?

The partners are currently working on a funding model to deliver the regeneration scheme and the new stadium - Everton Football Club has made a commitment to make funds available and this will act as the catalyst for the overall scheme development.

I'm a bit sceptical about all this. Despite being a general fan of Kenwright this smacks of hot air to me. I just don't see how it's funded.

Social housing in Liverpool is barely worth a penny to a commercial developer. Even if you fill it with local council incentives and grants they can only go so far without breaking EU rules.

The only thing I can think of is a genuine investor/prospective purchaser has been identified and the stadium can be financed by new club funds.

Whatever if it does happen I just want a stadium that's unique and true to the clubs identity.
