Nah, it was real and luckily nowhere near German (or Holmesdale) levels of cringe.

(There weren't any drums or fat gits with their tops off telling fans what they should sing by shouting through megaphones.)

I heard a drum this morning on MOTD Bournemouth match. It was horrific.

Sounded like a cross between that dum, dum, dum, music from a night club or a car going past with loud music and a 21 gun salute. Horrific.

How Bournemouth put up with that God knows.

Just a Brilliant Atmosphere yesterday. First spanking of a team in there and long overdue. Glad it was them too.

Bumped into an ex-colleague today and said to him "only 2 points behind you now" quick as a flash he replied "No, it's 3 isn't it"

The coach welcome was great and totally set the tone, looked and felt amazing being a part of it all. Nice to be doing one chasing Europe and not fighting for our lives.

We have to do more, and they will get better and better as we get used to our new home.

We gave BMD lift off yesterday, I felt the spirit of Goodison with us for the first time at the new ground and it was beautiful.

Serious questions need to be asked of Sky over last night,

Thousands who attennded HD last night went on social media raving about the noise and the atmosphere.

Anyone I have spoken to who was at the game says the same.

I have seen dozens of posts on Twitter and on GOT verifying all this.

And yet.

I watched on TV and I was surprised that the atmosphere appeared very muted and low key.

Some people on the match thread commented on this and the consensus was that Sky were indeed muting the crowd noise.

But why would they do this?

Then I heard a (faintish) chant of “Premier League…corrupt as [Poor language removed]” and the reason for this became obvious.

Especially in light of the very obvious PL corruption this very week over the Chelsea (non) punishment.

A point reinforced by the lack of an “apology” to any viewer who heard “offensive language” which they seem to do in every match.

Shame on Sky…they facilitate Masters and his motley band of chancers.

I did predict in another thread that the EPL acolytes would probably ensure 'offensive' chants were muted. QED.

But it's not social media that makes up the fact the name Dixie was an irritant to her grandad but she's still getting behind those using it. If there's a commercial gain being had by her that's even worse.

Didn’t William Ralph’s daughter and son-in-law run the Dixie Dean pub/bar on London Road?

She must have been like Tracy Barlow in her bedroom “playing her tapes”* whenever he expressed his dislike of his nickname for her to run a pub with that moniker.
