New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

as today was my first visit to the new home of us might blues first and foremost the stadium was unbelievable! secondly the atmosphere was the biggest thing as we walked up towards it a fella i was walking with said it’s not been great and was unsure it would change today but my god from the first kick it was electric. one downsides i’ll be interested to know who the bloody hell thought it was a good idea to sell doughnuts for £6.50 and a pie for £6.20! either it’s a comedy thing or most of us mighty blues have found gold at the bottom of the rainbow 😂 other than rhat what a result glad my mate couldn’t make it and i got the best game of our season so far to watch best money i’ve spent in years and that includes getting married and having kids habaha

It is us who need to bring support every match. Stadium is not the problem. We need a home singing section, basically just copy what they do in Germany, Czechia, etc. It will help the atmosphere massively.
Singing sections are a bit forced, and fake imo. We've got over 30k season ticket holders spread around all parts of the ground - that's more than 50% of the seats. We need them to start taking a bit of responsibility for creating the atmosphere.

Today was the loudest it's been - it's not the price of chicken, the number of steps in the ground or the long walk back to town that dictates the atmosphere, it's whether the majority of fans in the ground can be bothered to open their gobs and get behind the team. Time for those who like to paint themselves as the most loyal section of our fanbase to step up imo.

100% agree!!

We've seen how amazing it can be when we all make an effort.

I agree that they are forced and somehow against traditional culture, but if we want atmosphere every match, there is likely no other realistic solution. For me it is not right that I usually hear our away fans more than our home fans.

There is a realistic solution though - sing your heart out and hope the people around you sing too. No need to put the responsibility on creating an atmosphere to a small section of our beautiful new stadium, we should all play our part and do it justice.
