3rd place is a bit suspect at the very least. Imagine a lot of "tactical voting " no doubt.

Top 2 were recently used for the Afcon and very impressive.

So to finish 4th out of 20 thats got to be seen as its been very well recieved around the world.
I think ours has gained a lot of recognition here.

Yes.

Just think what position it could have got if a no mark company name wasn't attached to it.

Think its doing very well to get the recognition whatever name is attached to it.
Puts us right up on the map.

Looks like the football world can see past a sponsors name and marvel it for what it is.....Magnificent.

There could be something in that actually. I mean if it were called Toyota Stadium then some people might have negative associations as well as be impressed by the association with a global brand.

There's no such problem arises when no one has ever heard of the ambulance chaser's name. A shrug of the shoulder at best (or worse) probably.

I agree

The top two are going to be hosting World Cup matches so I get that they are going to be world class

Not too sure about the 3rd place but yo come 4th is a great achievement

Like it David....like it 🤣

There have only been a lot of empty seats recently due to the umpteenth midweek game in a row against unglamorous opposition. If a few of those games had been on a weekend it would be a different story.

You don't retrieve your ticket via an app. It is registered to your phone, so you have to give up that whilst they are at the game. As others have said, you could buy a burner phone and register your season ticket to that number, but it's hassle if you only miss one or two games.

The whole membership thing is to stop touting and other teams buying tickets easily too.

Please god no, this looks horrific and soulless
I agree.
But dont look to LCC to be the guardians of good taste city planning.
Going back 70, 80 yrs LCC have a very poor record and have done more damage to the architectural heritage of the city than the Luftwaffe ever did...
All in the name of progress.

Talk about short sighted.
The writing was on the wall for the pre-war propeller sized runways at Speke and Ringway
In the early 50s the US were regrouping and offered - basically take it off our hands - the monster Burtonwood site with its long 9000+ft military grade (think B52s) runways as a joint Lpool Manc NW airport hub.

But no, we're not going in with no Mancs, we'll build our own and plans we're drawn up for a proper 10,000ft jet sized runway that angled out a bit into the river...(which is dry sand most of the time)

They got the price and fainted
How Much!!
And built an el cheapo 1 X 7500ft
Manchester has since built 2 X 10,000ft

Nothing changes, you've only got to spend 5mins on the 'Old Photos of where you live' Thread.
We've all seen LCC's lack of foresight on our transport situation

So no I'm not expecting a New Jerusalem to be built on our green and pleasant land.
