New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

more than slightly id say

it was an absolute bugger of a run. 5 midweek games in winter at home on the spin

used to get around 1-2 home games in the league a year at night. one might be in august, another might be rearranged for april or may because of a cup clash

if they had those new fa cup rules earlier we wouldnt have got the calvert lewin derby or the palace game as spring midweek games as both were rearranged due to cup ties. they would have taken place in november or february at night

We used to look forward to the odd night game too. Now it's just been too much.

Defo.

The club certainly couldn't reconfigure it all now anyway. That'd look terrible - like they're saying the disabled are an issue.

As you say, though: more work needs to be done on all areas of the ground to stamp out the horrible visual effect of concrete.

They could have a consultation with the disabled supporters club and ask if it would be better if they where at a better height / more clear view?

If the consensus is no then that's fine the end of the conversation

Does anyone know how much the filled bake potatoes are?

Interested as the hype round them with spud bros etc has died down, as people are learning that charging more than £5 for one is horrendous.

I'm not sure why that conversation would take place seeing as that level is where they were at in Goodison and this is a bit more elevated for them in the south and north stands at the new stadium.

They're fine there would be my suspicion. Up to everyone else now to get their heads around the accessibility platforms are staying where they are and rightly so, but that doesn't mean the platforms cant be presented differently...something I think the disabled would want as they wont want to be seen apart from their fellow fans. The club are doing them no favours by leaving those platforms left bare concrete looking. Also - and I've said this before - the hi-viz army of stewards and coppers who clog those platforms up is annoying. There's no way there needs to be that many in them. I count at least 6/7 at any one time...more than that on occasion. They're doing f.a. most of them and it's an ugly distraction.

I am not joking here: literally 5 seconds after kick-off Grim snarled "For f sake Everton, it's only Burnley!"

This goes on for 90 minutes every game, totally negative comments from guys who think being fans since 1966 gives them a pass. So draining.

We heard them discussing other seats, so we are all praying they move (at the 1st game they moaned "These seats are too high up!". What did they expect in UPPER south?)
He’s definitely a poster on here.

What do you mean by the first paragraph? Not being narky I just don't understand.

About ten years ago they bult those towers with lifts to the park end and added many more disabled spaces.

I was with my mate who had a serious leg injury so accompanied him in the disabled bay, can't lie to say I was gutted when it was one of the spaces in front of the first row of the park end.

Remember sitting a row behind the disabled section in the paddock in early 90's.The lady in a wheelchair in front gave out a volley of abuse at the referee who clearly heard it,he came over wagging his finger and pulled out the yellow card with warning of no more of that thank you...
The ref was Roger Milford, the one with the Vosene shiny full head of grey hair.It was all done in humour by one of the few human officals in the game, you would never get that now...

He was ace Milford of the tight shorts and permatan, back in the days of refs actually being human, reffing sensibly and having a chat with the players and a sense of humour👍

Just saying that the people in the lower decks of the south and north stands now are bedded in for a season and it'd be controversial to move them elsewhere IMO. 🤷‍♂️
