New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Either way, I'm not against criminals being arrested via AI myself. Far too many are causing chaos and bragging about not being caught.
This is the nub of it. And the controversy of it. Nutshell.
I know anecodote is not data in plural. Last (ish) time I was in Liverpool I asked about it with my Uber cab driver. He was fully against. My stance is and always, if there was a nonce (like a former Royal perhaps!) next door to you, wouldn't you want to know, as in off the streets.

But, I don't trust any governement to not mis-use the technology (I do trust UK a lot).

I agree in principle, unfortunately the systems are currently far from infallible and too many busys are too thick to understand that, so it’s the bycatch that concerns me with it.

“I was misidentified by a live facial recognition system while coming home from a community patrol in Croydon. Police officers told me I was a wanted man and demanded my fingerprints even though I’d done nothing wrong.

“What happened to me was shocking and unfair.

“I’m challenging this because people should be treated with respect and fairness, and what happened to me shouldn’t happen to anyone else. But if police keep using live facial recognition for mass surveillance, thousands more people will be treated with suspicion. It’s stop and search on steroids.”

It looks very poor… like scoring into a sea of concrete with some sprinkling of fans

Compare it vs. Goodison:
I do think the steepness of the stand and the camera angle, compared with both at Goodison, that gives that perspective.

If you had shown the Park End with the South Stand, you'd see more similarities. The Street End had a much lower rake, so you could see most of it.

I appreciate peoples concerns, and it's important that safeguards are put in place to ensure the system isn't misused and protects innocent people.

However, on the balance of probability and considering the pros and cons, I see it as a positive tool in the mainstay, that will help reduce crime.

The level of CCTV and ANPR in this country is huge already; all this does is cross-reference the databases already available to police.

How the alerts generated are used by the police etc., is the important part for me.

Got to be honest i prefer Goodison. We have been poor there too the last couple of seasons but that place was a proper bull pit at times and everyone was scared of going there. I think some other teams look forward to going to Dickinson now tbh and not just because of our home form but because they know it's not like Goodison as well.

Hopefully one day it will feel like home again but we are a long way away from that yet i think.
I seriously doubt teams are scared of going anywhere nowadays tbh. Especially the top teams and players who are used to play all over.

I always refer to Neville Southall who said you should always want to play bigger and better teams then yourself to challenge yourself.
In the same way all professional players should want to play at the toughest grounds and look forward to it.

I simply stated that summer concerts last year were announced in abundant numbers in February, nice to see you're still turbo rattled enough to be mulling it over 3 weeks later though! Have a lovely rest of your weekend!

Three things, I was replying to @Christophe1 I've never had a conversation with you on here.

It was also over 4 weeks ago and we are approaching the end of February.

And lastly, are you also the poster @Christophe1

I'm auto logged into one at work and another at home as I couldn't access my original account in work. Boring explanation done.....can we try and work out what your point is now? How does passage of time change what I said "over 4 weeks" ago? If we get to a certain point and nothing has been booked then there will clearly be no concerts. That didn't make you correct, nor me wrong, when you tried to claim it was too late in December, or whenever it was, and I clearly evidenced an abundance of summer gigs announced in February last year. Do you lack basic understanding? I'm not sure why this is difficult for you.
