New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

We were forecasting to breach PSR in 2021 before Ukraine became an issue. James Rodriguez was always going to have to be sacrificed. Moshiri gambled with the clubs very existence imo.
He definitely gambled, but my understanding is that the club always thought PSR would be a slap on the wrist rather than the subsequent points deductions. The club were incompetent in assuming this but at the same time there was nothing clear from the PL. Who are either also incompetent or deliberately left it open to interpretation.

Supporters club meeting last night.

Pretty grim when you consider the apparent progress made by the club (new stadium, league position etc).

Obviously transport and ticketing issues were covered but the worrying thing for me is the behaviour of our fans: spitting chewing gum on memorial stones, stealing wheel chairs, racism, homophobia, vaping/smoking in the ground.

The yellow tickets left on seats are for reported abusive language, violent behaviour and smoking/vaping - a number of banning orders have been made.

Which supporters group was this demonising their own fans?

As for 'spitting chewing gum on memorial stones'....that's a bit sensationalist isn't it? More likely that it's no more prevalent in that area of the outside of the stadium than the main plaza...and they're not going to be 'spat out' in an act of wilfully dishonouring the people named on the stones, more like dropped on the floor - because there's only a few plazzy wheelie bins knocking about and the vast majority of them are on the plaza. (That's not to excuse dropping the stuff on the floor, but just to add necessary context.)

You'd think we were supporters by Visigoths to read that supporters group's conclusions.

The club 100% knew a points deduction was a risk and thats what happened.

I was involved in the meeting last night, it wasnt stated that people were 'spitting' on the stones, but was brought up about the amount of chewing gum on the stones. The club provide wheelchairs for people with accesibilty issues, and 50% of these have gone missing.
Regarding the yellow stickers, there have been cases of abusive language and racism to our own players.

Always a risk, so they're ultimately to blame. But it wasn't nailed on as there was nothing set out by the PL and no precedent. They had hoped it would be a fine.
That was the point of not setting a fixed punishment - clubs will now price it into the equation going forward and we'll end up back with an uncontrolled financial arms race.

Yeah I’m glad someone’s said that because I still worry that people don’t quite realise who was behind us there. Interesting to see Usmanov’s funds referenced in the Epstein files as Russian gangster money and Epstein himself urging caution to someone about getting involved. When Epstein draws a line at someone, it says something.

Had to check haha.

He was calling another Russian a gangster and his assistant tried to get a meeting with Usmanov but got cancelled, then he sent a picture of him waiting to get in a club. Weird.

Nice of them.

Yeah, all weird, but if you keep going through it, he very specifically refers to a chain where the money coming from Usmanov is "Russian gangster money". The press might just use the search bar to look up UK royalty and politicians, but I looked up our owners and potential owners obviously. Happily, no Friedkins are mentioned at all!

He was referring to Yuri as a Russian gangster then said to warn about Usmanov as he's Russian. Same thing but he didn't know much about him.

Not defending an oligarch btw apart from he at least used his stolen state funds to help start our stadium.

And people want TFG to spend more and more millions on this ground to make it look like a council house during the world cup. Why would they, when they know that anything not bolted down will be stolen, and everything that is bolted down will be spat/drawn on?

It may be the minority, but it is enough to be made note of. Some of the fan base ensure that we don't deserve nice things
