New Everton Stadium Discussion

This is the point.... Liverpool waters was originally envisaged to be something akin to Canary Wharf in scale. A massive boost to our economy and built environment. If big enough, it could also warrant new public transport infrastructure such as a new station at Vauxhall or a dedicated people mover. The South docks has been redeveloped as mainly low rise and barely justified a single bus service. The stadium would really benefit from improved connectivity.

The plan is for a new transport infrastructure to serve the whole of the city from there.

Doesn't look good if you need sales team for a 52000 stadium. Thought they would all go

Are you mad!!! It's fantastic because

A) it already shows that it's creating jobs
B) it means that any sales team we currently have, they need more staff on board because they believe they're gonna be busy so it's expanding

It ain't some fella called Derek sitting at his office with a Thompson phone directory trying to sell 15k corporate season tickets to Edna whose been retired for 25 years.

Of course their should be a sales team and a bloody good one too because they'll be looking to sell the whole experience from arriving at a Waterfront stadium, to offering some of the best food/beverages available.

It's great news!

Basically it’s like having a return customer to a car dealership every year and buying the basic model, he’s happy with it and he continues like that for some time. Next time he comes in, there’s a new sales person, he knows the guy is gonna buy a car but he’s gonna show him what he can upgrade to and try to twist his arm into parting with a little extra cash.

That’s all the club are trying to do with the sales people/team. They’ll be targeting existing STH first. Wouldn’t be surprised if they contacted the waiting list and said they’d be guaranteed a ST if they signed up to XX lounge or membership in advance of moving.

I don't think you know what you're talking about mate.

This is about the vast different levels of hospitality (standard premium etc) that's due to be announced and they need a team to contact and discuss the proposed pricing and value.

Regards steepness of stands, do we know the gradients of each part of the ground? I thought it was all the same, but maybe not?

I think some of the recent CGI pics showed clearly that the lower tier of the east and west stands had a different gradient to the south stand for example. A bit like you see at Stamford Bridge I guess, and i'm sure Tottenham's new ground has a bit of this too.

Elon Musk linked with buying MU tonight. Quite possibly shouting his mouth off but could he be aware of a shiny new docklands stadium needing naming rights ?

Tesla Everton Stadium sounds good.
We’d get an utterly horrendous name for the ground if he had naming rights.

Everything is an opportunity for ‘hilarious’ l0lz with that guy. Whatever Twitter meme is flavour of the month would do as the stadium name, and we’d have this on the roof:

When all around are losing their heads in the tumult of transfers..... Love the tranquility of being here.

Quietly building away, making progress which you can tangibly see.... Oh, why can't everything in the world of Everton be so.

Scratch that, I'd get bored.

Gonna be amazing. Still find it hard to believe it's ours. Stadium and the city (again).

Bramley Moore Musk has a ring to it..... Could bottle the smells from next door.

Marketing dream.
