Whoever comes in will get a tune out of Iwobi and Siggy etc for about 5 games. We'll all hammer Carlo and say the new boss is a genius.

Then things will slowly unravel. We will soon come to realise that these players have hoodwinked us again and we'll all get grumpy and start arguing.

Season will finish. 10th or lower. Then will be back to giving the manager "another year". And hopefully he's not sacked again.

Tell you what, if a new manager does come in and dares to do better than Ancelotti, there will be hell to pay on here from the fan club. They will not like it at all, things will get unpleasant quick.

Yet we are an established PL club with a massive fan base and loads of money to spend, new stadium on the way and last manager was Carlo Ancelotti. Also we have 1 world class player(finally)
Everton is still the last sleeping giant
We have no world class players. Rodriguez won’t be staying. Other world managers will also look at what Carlo done (10th) and think fu** that. We don’t have loads of money. And sleeping giant?...... we have been in a coma longer than Kate Garraways husband.

And all Conte will do is go out and buy a load of 29 year olds on 100k a week that come
for the money, we will finish 10th, and he will leave. We need to start looking at Leicester and how they do things. We can’t compete financially with the likes of Liverpool, City, United, and Chelsea. And buying players at the tail end of their career that have dropped off at the clubs their at now, that other big teams are staying away from won’t do it.
Will he really just buy a load of 29 year old though. There no guarantee he will

I don’t want Conte anywhere near our club. He will do exactly what Carlo has done. Everton is not a quick fix. Their isn’t a manager on this planet that could take the team we have now and get top 4 every season. We need some stability now, and a manager that can build something special and stable.

We need a manager that will get us into the CL group stages within 2 seasons.

Without the increased revenue from CL football the club will not go anywhere.

Everton can not be a 'project' for a manger to 'build' a team over 4, 5, 6 seasons. The statute of Everton without European football isn't big enough to deal with other teams taking our players. Over the years when we've been 'building' another team comes along with European football and takes our best player. Lukaku, Barkley, Stones, Fellaini, Lescott, Rooney.

Yes their is. He isn’t a manager that will coach youngsters. He will want ready made players now. He had the opportunity to sign Tonali, and couldn’t be assed coaching him so signed Vidal. Their is a reason he won’t go to Spurs.

If he Conte came he wouldn't be working with this squad. He'd only consider the job if it was a full Usmanov overhaul which their won't be or we would have kept Ancelotti.
Inter have 2 very good players in every position and he left.

True...ish. What is the point at boardroom level though, if they say this type of thing. They should be trying for the very best and working down as necessary.

CA was no busted flush when we appointed him. He was/is still one of the most coveted managers in the game.

Koeman was linked with Barca and Arsenal when Moshiri hired him. By all accounts Mourinho would have been appointed if UTD didn't sack Van Gaal.

Moshiri probably offers a very well supported and backed environment for a head coach, Simeone may be a step too far but Conte is clubless and we're the only one on the board right now.
Not saying we shouldn’t be aiming high, but the reality is that Simeone and Conte can pretty much go where they please for CL teams.

First off... last line is horrendous thing to say and totally out of order.

2nd this sort of attitude is why we get linked with Moyes and Howe, while Spurs are linked with Conte.

Finally a lot of managers don’t care what other managers have done, they have faith in themselves

But it’s not working. We have been trying to do It for 5 years. We have throw half a billion at trying to do it. This is the problem with some of our fans. You want everything now and it won’t work. And we really need to be careful how we approach this now. Moshiri is gonna get fed up pumping money into the club every season and then is left a laughing stock.

Simeone is fantasy land. When people even suggest this it makes me cringe, you can put Conte in that category too.
There is more chance of me managing at Everton than these 2.
They are both young managers at the top of their game, complete opposite to Ancelotti when he joined us, so anybody saying “but we got Ancelotti” isn’t thinking it through.
Hasn't he just snubbed spurs?

Lad listen to what your saying. We are crap. We haven’t won anything in over 25 years. This isn’t anything like the Carlo situation. No world class manager is going to come here. Just like they wouldn’t go to Leeds, Southampton, Wolves etc.... We throw money at a manager who was at the tail end of his career. We made him one of the best paid managers in world football, and he laughed his ass of and bailed at the first given chance.
Then what's the point of having a self-made billionaire backed through ingenious sponsorship deals by an even richer billionaire that's developing a state of the art unprecedented stadium on the waterfront, if we're just going to hire Howe or Potter and hope they can punch above their weight with plucky old Everton?

We're much bigger than Leeds, Southampton and Wolves btw. Don't let the media drill otherwise into you.

Well let’s get Dunc and get relegated then.
You aim for the best and work down

Looking at the athletic data the best option would be Graham Potter. Didn’t realise how good he had been. I know it’s not a sexy appointment but the data suggests it would be a really good move forward.
Potter would be good, NES too, it's interesting as there are several options right now, I cant see this being done too soon, hopefully Brands takes his time

Our fans believe we are a small club, it’s all we hear from the media, only the other day you have 2 pundits arguing over who bigger Everton or West Ham
