He’s the kind of ex player you’d think would make a good manager

Enormous risk doesn't even begin to cover it. They brought him in thinking he could do a Zidane and it went wrong quickly.

He is out of work and Everton is a big opportunity.

One of the things Brands has managed to do is stop any leaks from the club. At least we used to have a bit of fun in transfer windows or managerial hires when there were leaks all over the place. Now it’s airtight and at the last moment bang Bernard is in or Ancelotti joins. Even the bookies don’t have a sniff now.

I don’t want to hate one of my favourite events midfielders.

He’d actually be an improvement on most of our current midfield. Imagine him watching Coleman or Keane trying to find a pass, Christ.
