The only small (and I emphasise small) positive for me on this relates to an incident that happened a few years back.
I used to play five a side footy at Crosby baths. There was a kid's session before we played, so we used to turn up and then wait for them to pack away etc.
Anyway... This one week we were all waiting to get in, and this woman in a really strong (OTT and unattractive in my mind) scouse accent starts shouting "Rafael... Rafael... Rafael..." and this kid comes running over to her in a full RS kit. The age of the child suggests he was born when the FSW was in charge of them lot.
As sad (and unfortunate for the kid) as I thought that was at the time it's always remained in my mind. And I do now chuckle a little thinking that this RS supporting kid will continue to be called Rafael if the FSW does indeed get appointed.
Apologies for the length of the story but it was something that stayed in my mind since the day I heard this woman shouting Rafael at a young kid.
