I don't get why everyone seems to think that this is a done deal ?.
Journo's chat wam and know nothing , bookies have absolutely no idea , as odds have changed wildly over the last few weeks , and currently the markets are still i.e. they still have no idea.
Think that we should stay calm and see what happens.
At least we haven't humiliated ourselves like Spurs , who appear like a club on a prom night without a date.
Mind you many on here want to slate the ownership with or without just cause.

I agree in that I wouldn't appoint him BUT thats me saying that as an Evertonian.

If you was the owner with £500 million tied up in a new stadium and a further say £200-300 million probably lined up on transfers over the next 3-4 years - would YOU take a chance on someone like Favre or Potter or a bloke whos won a Champions League, titles, FA Cup, Copa Italia etc.

I personally think he's past his best but I thought Moyes was and he just went and finished 6th with a nothing special WHU.

Im not defending the board but they wont be ruled by emotion like us fans are. Same way they'll never likely give the job to Dunc as for all the pashun he has a nothing CV.

Hopefully we get a suprise and someone else with a decent CV is the real target and its under wraps but all im saying is fans are letting their emotions take over - in reality he's an ex RS manager who called us a small club in anger as he was cryarsing that he couldn't beat us.

He does a lot for local charity and enjoys the area/city - he's not a baby eating nazi like some portray him as lol

What feels more realistic though… really, do you think Benitez is the one to change the fortunes? A manager clearly on a downward spiral, who plays awful football.

Id be absolutely astonished if this scenario happened.

May not happen but who though Ranieri would have won the league and what would have been the reaction if we wold have announced him back in 2017, none of us know what’s going to happen ,some are praying he totally fails which I find sad as that means yet again the team/club has failed.
if he fails he fails but that could go for any of them put forward by are so called football experts, I’m going to give who ever it is a chance as it’s the only thing I can do but I’m not going to get on neither the managers back or teams back from day one.
